@gabrrieellaa: A Sleepwear Designer’s Life on Instagram

@gabrrieellaa is Gabriella Artusa, and her Instagram bio tells you exactly why her fashion content carries weight: she lists herself as a sleepwear designer at Victoria’s Secret and a fashion design graduate of FIT, the Fashion Institute of Technology. That combination of a design job inside a major lingerie and sleepwear brand plus formal training puts her a step above the typical “fashion inspo” account. Around 45,500 people currently follow her, and the number lines up almost exactly with what public estimates show for the account, which is a good sign the audience is real rather than inflated.

What she posts and how

Her feed and Highlights (organized by year, going back to 2024) read less like a curated fashion portfolio and more like a running diary: outfit moments, day-to-day snapshots, and family content sit next to anything that touches on her design world. That mix is consistent with her niche_tag of fashion design and sleepwear, but it is not a strict “outfit of the day” account — the FIT training and the Victoria’s Secret design role are credentials she carries into a feed that otherwise looks like normal life, not a polished lookbook. Her link-in-bio points to a Linktree, which is where she consolidates whatever she wants followers to click through to at any given time, a common move for creators who split their attention between a day job and social content.

Why it works

The credibility comes first: it is one thing to post outfit photos, and another to caption them as someone who actually designs sleepwear for a brand people already know. That gives her opinions on fabric, fit, and design more weight than the average style account. But the account also works because it does not lean on that credential alone — she lets her personality show through everyday, unpolished moments, which is what keeps an audience checking back between the more fashion-specific posts.

It also helps that FIT carries real weight inside the fashion industry. The school has trained designers who went on to build careers at major American and international labels, so listing it in a bio is not a throwaway line — it signals formal training in construction, materials, and garment design rather than a purely self-taught style sense. Paired with an active role at a sleepwear brand as established as Victoria’s Secret, that background gives her account a kind of behind-the-industry-curtain value that a purely aesthetic fashion page cannot offer, even before she posts a single outfit photo.

The featured post above is a good example of that range. It is not a fashion shot at all — it is a lighthearted clip filmed in the back seat of a car with her father, riffing on a family trend format, captioned “the ending i can’t with him.” It is the kind of low-effort, high-relatability content that has nothing to do with sleepwear design on the surface, and that is exactly the point: it is the personal side of the account that keeps a design-industry creator from feeling like a corporate mouthpiece.

What you can learn from this profile

A few concrete takeaways stand out. First, a real professional credential — a design job at a recognizable brand, a degree from a respected fashion school — gives fashion commentary far more authority than styling alone, so creators with industry jobs should not be shy about naming them in their bio. Second, an account does not need to be one-note: mixing behind-the-scenes design-world context with ordinary personal moments, like a car ride with family, broadens who sticks around and why. Third, jumping into a recognizable trend format, even one that has nothing to do with your usual content pillar, can pull in engagement well beyond your regular reach when the execution feels genuine rather than forced. Fourth, keeping a single, current Linktree link in the bio is a simple habit that avoids sending an engaged audience to broken or outdated destinations.

@gabrrieellaa is a useful reminder that a niche account does not have to be rigid to work — a design credential from FIT and a job title at Victoria’s Secret can sit comfortably next to a silly car-ride video, and both sides of that feed contribute to an audience that keeps growing. For creators trying to build that kind of following from scratch, giving a new or niche Instagram account an initial audience boost can help a genuinely good mix of content get seen by more people sooner.
